“The ICU” by Poojaa Agarwal is a beautiful collection of three gut-wrenching tales.

The plot is created around three different stories, interlinked by ICU experiences. The stories talk about pain, emotions and feelings people go through. It includes the emotions of patients, relatives or friends of people in ICU.

The book provides an insight into medical emergencies and how people going through such hardships feel. The pain and emotions depicted in the book are raw and intense.

The theme was heart-touching, narration and description was powerful and overwhelming. Language is something which requires a lot of improvement. Ranging from incorrect usage of tenses to punctuation errors, the grammatical mistakes were plenty. Hence, editing needs improvement.

The title is apt and justified. Blurb is concise and provides the readers with an overview of the book.

I would like to rate it as 3.2/5.
Overall, a great one time read!
